Going to the army? God's will? The army has request him
We are going to miss you!
Humberto-Finished his race!
Jorge Andres
He is involved with the Foundation’s church and also a music group in another church where he is mentored and helped in his abilities. By faith, he is taking classes at the university in music, even though he is not always sure where the next payment will come from. He knows that God has given him this musical ability and wants him to use it for the Kingdom.
Juan Guillermo
Trained under Youth With a Mission and currently taking classes at the seminary in Medellin, Usuga is determined to do all he can to better serve the Lord in the place God has put him. I recently heard someone in leadership in the Foundation say with pride that Juan Guillermo is a man of God who can be trusted in any situation. Wow! That’s high praise and he’s earned it.
Jose Pablo
Jose dreams of attending the seminary and studying more about God’s Word when the Lord opens that door. Until then, he spends all day mentoring the boys in our program on the San Pedro farm. I’ve also heard a rumor that he is quite the preacher!
Back home
Christian recently returned to Colombia again where he is open to what God wants him to do now. He is studying more English there and volunteering on the boys´ farm. He hopes to return to the States one day to get a college education
Cristina:
Many years ago I left Brazil and went to the U.S. seeking the "American Dream" - Power (I got different degrees). Fame (I modeled for a few years and won many tennis trophies), and money.
I had all the world could give, but it did not give me happiness. However, while in the U.S., I did find true joy and purpose for my life. I came to know Jesus as my Savior and Lord, the first time I heard the plan of salvation. My life was His from then on.
In 2000, God lead me to Colombia to Open Arms Foundation where I worked at the Boys Farm.
Enoc: The only remaining person from his school peers due to gang violence in his neighborhood. He refused to be a part of gang activity, and his father sent him away days before he himself was sought to be killed.
Enoc was educated in the Bible Seminary and has a Master in drug addiction.
He has worked with Open Arms Foundation since 1999 as director of the Boys'Farm and Pastor.
At the present time we live in Medellin and are working with the youth of Open Arms Church and with the graduates of the Boys Farm Program, helping them assimilate back into city life here in Medellin.
